The Guernsey Surf School is owned and operated by a tight knit group that live and breath everything surfing, Our goal is to pass on our years of knowledge to dramatically speed up your learning curve, teaching best practices in a fun and healthy way.

The GSS Manager - Nick Hill has great people skills along with a passion for surfing and outdoor life. He brings a great method of teaching thanks to his skills on the slopes in the winter as a ski instructor. He’s prompt, organised and loves to get new surfers up and riding in the fastest possible time whilst maintaining a high level of fun.
Johnny started surfing at the age of 14 and was instantly addicted! Surfing has seen him travel the world seeking out perfect waves and trying to live life to the fullest.
In the world of competition surfing he’s been a member of the Channel Islands Surf Team competing at the European championships throughout his late teens and 20’s. He has won the Guernsey Championships 11 times, was crowned Channel Island Champion in 2006 and in 2015 won the British Senior Championships in Croyde.
